Welcome to the New York Black Librarians Caucus’ (NYBLC) new website. It is designed to help prospective members and friends to understand, appreciate and support our organization. Thanks to Lansana Magassa, our webmaster and other members who worked very hard to give our website a new look and feel.
During my tenure as President, our goals include the following:
- To increase visibility of NYBLC membership in the Internet and the local surroundings.
- To promote equity access of information and bridging the digital divide in the minority populations of New York .
- To continue membership growth of the organization.
- To broadening our revenue base in order to enable us to fund more scholarship awards annually.
